Severe Storm Tamworth (Oxley Vale) - 18 October 1993

The full force of this storm was felt in Oxley Vale near Tamworth. My father who lives there reported that "he thought the house was going to blow away" and he moved to the bathroom for safety with the house vibrating with the ferocity of the winds and the sound of debris hitting the outside walls. Most of the larger trees in the area including one in my parents backyard and another in the front yard of our neighbours house were destroyed. Tiles were also removed from many homes. A two story house was demolished not far my parents home, photos included below.
