Its was a 7km walk from Cockle Creek to South East Cape - the Southern most point of Tasmania. Along the way we came across small flock of Yellow Tail Black Cockatoos chattery and squaking amongst the Eucalypts on a low hill.

Still surrounded by snow from falls in Mid August, Lake Dobson is a Tarn left from earlier glacial activity in the Mount Field region of Tasmania.

The Huon River south of Hobart, from the bridge at Huonville. The river shimmering mirror like in the late afternoon, the trees on the right bank lit briefly by a shaft of light breaking through the cloud cover.
